Matt Burton - @hfxdrifter
Matt Burton is a photographer and filmmaker who proudly posts horizontal videos on TikTok. In the age of vertical video, this is a pretty big deal. His audience has fallen in love with the cinematic vignettes he shares. Shooting on the Sony Alpha 7S III, his work has a buttery look that we love. Check out the video below and take a look at his page for more content.
David Guerrero - @dgphotoholic
David Guerrero is a 25-year-old photographer from Austin, Texas. His work focuses on portraits, often of strangers he bumps into on the sidewalk, like in the video below. Guerrero states that, “capturing the beauty and poise that surrounds each human being in their very own, distinct individuality drives me out the door in the mornings.” He makes these joyful images on the Sony Alpha 7 III and the Sony 85mm f/1.4 G Master.
Diego Lévano - @lvnstudio
Photographer and videographer Diego Lévano’s TikTik account features a fantastic series of behind-the-scenes and final results. He comes up with different portrait concepts and, using his Sony Alpha 7 III, records himself capturing them and then shares the final results. The different backgrounds and props he incorporates into his portraits make them stand out on the platform. Follow him to see which portrait concept he carries out next.
Marlo Miller - @theeyesofmylens
Marlo Miller is a traveling fashion/portrait photographer currently based in Tampa, FL. She has grown her TikTok to nearly 100K by sharing her work, advice for photographers, and a little bit of her life and personality. About three years ago she upgraded to the Sony Alpha 7R III and she stated that “It honestly changed my life in terms of my photography business.” We love the video below where she walks through her setup for shooting a wedding at night. She typically uses the Sony HVL-F32M Flash but in this image, she only used natural light.
John Makris - @JohnMakrisPhotography
John Makris is a multi-awarded wedding/portrait photographer and educator. He has only recently started posting on TikTok, but he made a splash with the video below, receiving nearly 170K views! The video shows behind the scenes of an image he made of a couple at the Louvre in Paris. While the conditions look nice, when you see the back of camera image, you’re sure to be blown away! It’s amazing to see his artistic eye and how he achieves that with his Sony Alpha 7 IV and Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 G Master II.
