Brandon Cole Photography

Brandon Cole’s channel exists to help you take your photography to the next level. If you’re looking to capture stunning photos with off camera flash, while learning additional tips and tricks in a studio setting as well as on location, then you’ve come to the right place. On his channel, Brandon shares lighting and posing tips and tricks, post-processing advice, and more. This is a great one to subscribe to if you’re interested in lighting, portrait photography, and working with models. 

In the video below, Brandon is doing a photo shoot with a model by the pool. He starts the shoot out with the Sony Alpha 1. Then, he switched to the Sony Alpha 7R V with the Sony 24mm f/1.4 G Master. He wanted to use a wider lens to incorporate more of the scene in the shots and add more of a story. It’s great to see how he uses artificial light mixed with natural light. Right off the bat, the clouds cover the sun and he has to adjust his strobes, and eventually it even starts to rain. All the while, Bandon talks through how he controls the light in an ever shifting situation.

Jenna Hong

Jenna Hong is a 26-year-old Korean-American vlogger based in the Washington, D.C. area. Her channel focuses on healthy living, food and lifestyle content. She also touches quite a bit on fashion and beauty. Her followers love her day-in-the-life style content and her positive attitude.

For the first two years of her vlogging journey, she filmed on the Sony ZV-E1 but she finally decided to upgrade to the Sony ZV-E10. She’s most excited about the ability to use interchangeable lenses. The camera came with the Sony 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 PZ kit lens and Jenna purchased the Sony 10-20mm f/4 G PZ and the Sony 11mm f/1.8. She also raves about the steady shot feature on both the Sony ZV-E1 and the Sony ZV-E10.

Mario So

Mario So is a vlogger whose channel is about filmmaking, photography, gear reviews, and behind the scenes content. Mario creates product videos, commercials, and tutorials on video and photo editing. He is very knowledgeable and generous with his expertise. His subscribers love his insights and fun and creative projects. 

In this video, Mario dives into in-camera focus bracketing with the Sony Alpha 7R V. He says that this feature is something he’s been longing for, before the camera was released. He goes on to explain that this feature is useful for landscape images or product photography. Then Brandon shows exactly where to find this feature in the menu of the camera and all the steps to follow. He even takes his audience into his editing software and walks them through how to blend the images. 

Peter Lindgren

Photographer and filmmaker Peter Lindgren has found huge success on YouTube. His videos are typically about photography, videography or editing but he does occasionally make vlogs and or gear review videos. Peter primarily shoots with the Sony Alpha 7 III. 

In this video, Peter reviews the Sony 135mm f/1.8 G Master. He raves about the ergonomics and quality of all Sony G Master lenses. After discussing all the features of the lens, he heads out to shoot and give it a try. He says that he is “deeply impressed” with the image quality, going on to explain that “this is probably one of the absolute sharpest lenses that I’ve tried so far.” He then goes on to discuss considerations for shooting video on the lens. Ryan Pernofski

Ryan Pernofski is an underwater photographer and videographer. In his YouTube videos, he takes the viewer into the ocean with him while he photographs seascapes and waves on his Sony Alpha 7R IV in Aquatech Housing. He uses the POV technique, so the viewer feels they are right with him, experiencing exactly what he’s experiencing. He also includes the resulting images in the videos!

Below is an example of those POV videos with his typical camera setup paired with his Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 G Master. He jumps in the water and swims out to the waves to start taking images. He shows how he uses a squeegee to keep the camera port clean and clear. It's also great to hear his voice over because he talks about what he looks for in an image. He says that “cool shapes and textures” are what really appeal to him.
